The Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program provides students with opportunities to integrate their classroom learning with -real world work experiences in industry. The Co-op Program is a partnership with business, industry, government agencies, and School of Mines. Students are employed in positions related to their major and may obtain academic credit for their co-op experience.
The Cooperative Education Committee is responsible for developing qualified cooperative education experiences and assisting students with identifying co-op opportunities. The committee is comprised of cooperative education coordinators appointed by each department, the provost and vice president for academic affairs or designee, and the director of career planning. The committee will select the chair.
