The committee advises the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in developing and administering assessment of the General Education Program. Academic assessment is defined as the use of qualitative and quantitative methods and measures to evaluate the process and outcomes of student learning and to ensure the continuous improvement of the same.
The committee consists of one faculty from social sciences, humanities and writing; two from math and science; one faculty from engineering, the Associate Provost for Assessment and Accountability. The committee members shall elect the Chair.
