The committee monitors the campus master plan for improvements in the development of physical facilities and advises the president on suggested revisions to the plan that will better enable the School of Mines to accomplish its mission. The committee also advises the president on other proposed campus improvements such as signage and beautification projects based on inputs from applicable committees.
The committee consists of the university provost, two faculty members nominated by the provost, a student affairs representative, three students nominated by the student association president, the director of campus environmental health and safety, the athletic director, and the director of facilities services, one at-large member, the vice president of research affairs, the vice president of university relations, and the vice president for business and administration, who chairs the committee. The president of the School of Mines Foundation serves as an ex-officio member.
